I thought I would start off with this photo of the blocks that I entered in the Modern Quilt Guild's Quiltcon Block Challenge. Quiltcon is the Guild's first show which takes place in Austin, TX, next February. I had never entered any type of quilt show or contest before so this was a new personal challenge and although my blocks did not get chosen to be included in the raffle quilt, I am happy knowing that they will be used to make a quilt that will be donated to the Austin Children's Shelter. These blocks were also the first time that I did a totally original design and that was a fun and interesting challenge for me.
